Refund policy
THE TRU STANDARD
At Tactical Resource Unit (TRU), we provide professional-grade equipment for professionals who demand reliability. We understand that your gear must be mission-ready. If your order does not meet that standard, we will make it right.
01. RETURN ELIGIBILITY
You have 14 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return for specific brands and items. To be eligible, your item must be:

Unused and in the same condition that you received it.

In the original, unopened packaging with all seals intact.

Accompanied by the original receipt or proof of purchase.
02. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
Due to the technical and sensitive nature of our inventory, the following items cannot be returned:

Thermal Optics & Night Vision Optics: Once the factory seal on a thermal or night vision unit is broken, it is no longer eligible for return unless a manufacturing defect is present.

Special Orders: Any items specifically ordered or customized for a client.

Clearance/Final Sale Items: All items marked as "Final Sale" are non-refundable.
03. INSPECTION & RESTOCKING FEES
All authorized returns are subject to a rigorous technical inspection.

Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee applies to all eligible returns to cover the cost of technical inspection and administrative processing.

Condition Check: If an item is returned and found to have been used, mounted, or damaged, the return will be rejected, and the item will be shipped back to the customer at their expense.
04. DEFECTIVE GEAR & WARRANTIES
If your hardware is defective out of the box, please contact us at info@tacticalresourceunit.com within 48 hours of delivery.

Night Knight Warranty: Most optics are backed by a 2-year limited warranty. If a defect occurs after use, we will facilitate the warranty repair or replacement process according to the manufacturer's terms.
05. REFUND PROCESS
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund (minus shipping costs and restocking fees) will be processed to your original method of payment within 7–10 business days.
06. SHIPPING COSTS
Customers are responsible for paying their own shipping costs for returning items. Shipping costs are non-refundable. For high-value returns (over $100), you must use a trackable shipping service and purchase shipping insurance for the full value of the item. TRU is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.
HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN

Email info@tacticalresourceunit.com with your Order Number and reason for return.

Wait for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and shipping instructions.

Securely pack the item and ship it to the provided address.
